Group Visits and Tours

You are here

A Group Of Girls Looks At And Pets A Puppy Held By Humane Society Of Utah Staff.

Thank you for your group's interest in visiting our pets at the Humane Society of Utah!

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our pets and visitors, a staff member must accompany groups of 10 people or more. We want to provide an educational experience for your group while considering the best interest of our animals at all times. The shelter can be a stressful place for animals—it's a new, unfamiliar place with lots of new people coming by every day.

Please read the following policy for visiting groups:
  • Group tours are by appointment only Monday–Thursday, 11 a.m. to  4 p.m. We are not able to accommodate unscheduled groups.
  • The Humane Society of Utah is a private nonprofit organization that does not receive any city/county, state, or federal funding. We have a sliding scale fee system for group tours depending on the type of organization and size of the group.
    • For more information on fees and scheduling a children’s group, please contact Caitlin Lisle in Humane Education at caitlin@utahhumane.org.
    • For more information on fees and scheduling corporate, church, scouting, or other large groups, please contact Lisa Burningham in Corporate Volunteers at lisa@utahhumane.org.

Thank you, we look forward to your visit!
