The events team at Humane Society of Utah has a handful of major events throughout the year and several smaller events each month. We host food trucks at our facility in Murray weekly during the summer. Contact Special Events for more information.
Attend our unique events and have fun: for a good cause. We offer training classes and other educational opportunities on a regular basis. Your participation directly benefits the animals in our care and funds the programs we offer.

Xfinity Big Heads Bigger Hearts Adoption Special
Humane Society of Utah, Murray, UT
Join us for our Big Heads Bigger Hearts Adoption Special, presented by Xfinity.
This special will take place on Valentine’s Day, on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Adoption fees will be waived on dogs 60 lbs. and larger, and they’ll also go home with a free bag of pet supplies lovingly hand-selected by staff specifically for that dog.
Our adoption lobby is open 11-7 Friday and 10-7 Saturday. Come meet your Valentine at the Humane Society of Utah in Murray!

Bark at the Moon 2025
The Gateway, Salt Lake City UT
The Humane Society of Utah invites you and your family, friends, and pups for a night of fun at the Gateway on May 3, 2025, 5-9 pm! UtahHumane.org/Bark
Discover yummy food trucks and local craft beer as you explore our vendor alley. Enjoy live music and let your dogs cool off and play in Gateway’s splash pad. Bark at the Moon will wrap up with a glow-in-the-dark, pup-friendly walk at 9 PM.

Event Application
Thank you for your interest in hosting an event for the Humane Society of Utah (HSU)! Please use this form if you are:
- Hosting a fundraiser for HSU
- Inviting HSU staff to attend a tabling event
- Hosting an offsite adoption event and requesting adoptable animals

The Humane Society of Utah is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that receives no tax dollars or funds from national nonprofit organizations. The animals depend on the support of caring individuals like you.
We have created the following guidelines to enhance the success of third-party/community events and avoid any conflicts with HSU donors, corporate sponsors, or events planned already.
Please don’t print any materials, pursue any media publicity or solicit cash or in-kind sponsors until you get written approval for your event from the Humane Society of Utah.
To make this process as smooth as possible, please complete the event application and submit it to HSU at least two weeks before your event. Once we approve your application, an HSU staff member will contact you.
