Meet Laci and Kimberly, our August Volunteers of the Month
You are here
Mother - Daughter duo Kimberly and Laci joined our volunteer team this past April, and immediately knew they wanted to spend their time volunteering in our Critter Country. Every weekend this team of super volunteers is here cleaning the rabbit runs and spending time socializing with our littlest of adoptable kiddos. Whether they are elbows deep in newspaper or enjoying the sun with a rabbit in the Bun Run, these two always have a smile on their face. Their love of small animals and volunteering is infectious and has been a great bonding experience. Read below to learn more about this steller volunteer duo:
What brought you to Utah Humane?
My daughter volunteered because she was taking an animal science class for school, and needed to serve in the community. Since then, she's done it because of the sheer enjoyment of taking care of the animals.
What is your favorite thing about volunteering with Utah Humane?
Taking care of the animals and seeing the smiles on people's faces when they find the perfect pet for their home. We've learned how to better care for the small animals.
Do you have a favorite story from volunteering here?
We look forward to taking the rabbits outside in the run and interacting with them. Once their outside, it's hard to catch them again to bring them back inside.
Do you have any pets at home?
A Siamese cat named "Millie"
Tell us something fun and unique about yourselves:
We enjoy every minute together as mother and daughter - love spending time with each other as often as we can. I'd like to think we have a close relationship.
We want to thank Laci and Kimberly for all their time and support, we are so lucky to have them as a part of our volunteer team!
