Volunteer/Foster of the Month

Original from Nashville, Tennessee Carol Sharp is a dedicated volunteer who enjoy working with the big dogs.
Carol and her husband moved to Utah because they enjoy off road motorcycling. There are more places to partake of this activity in Utah than there had been in Tennessee.
Carol started volunteering because she had some spare time on her hands and decide that instead of just talking about animals rights she wanted to do something to help. She found that she enjoys getting to know the dogs’ personalities and give them the love and affection that they crave. She also see it as a challenge to make sure that on the days she volunteers all the dogs get out for some play time.
When she is not busy getting the dogs out Carol loves to travel, play tennis and she has been a nurse for 20 years. She especially loves to visit Egypt and Israel. She is going to Africa this month.
She also enjoys her own two dogs a Labrador Retriever and a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. They keep her young.
In ten years she hopes not to be dead, but still volunteering and traveling.
She would tell people thinking about volunteering do it because it is one of the most gratifying things you can do and the animals need people to help them while the stay at the shelter.
Thank you Carol for all your hard work.
